We are no longer able to offer propane tanks with the Type 2 (quick connect) valve. Grills and tanks with the quick connect valve have not been manufactured in over 10 years and it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain an inventory required to service customers with this connection.
What you can do is upgrade your grill with a new hose and regulator and upgrade your tank with the new type of connection (it is a two part process). You can purchase a new hose and regulator by contacting Weber at 800-446-1071 and explain that you have a grill that has a Type II tank and you need a new hose and regulator for a Type I tank.
If you decide to upgrade your grill, you will also need to upgrade your tank. When placing an order on our web site you will be asked if your tank requires an upgrade. You will select yes, that way we will pick up your old Type II tank and deliver a Type I tank for you.
